Cobalt is thrilled to partner with a prestigious Pan-European Asset Management firm, distinguished for its expertise in Real Estate and various Alternative Investments. They are seeking a dynamic Head of Compliance to spearhead a dedicated team, contributing to the management of their exceptional portfolio.
**Responsibilities include: (Including but not limited to)**
- Analyse new initiatives, conduct AML/CTF assessments, manage conflicts of interest, and handle complaints to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Oversee compliance policies and entity-level controls, collaborate with other control functions, and ensure alignment with local and divisional standards.
- Organize regulatory-required and company-specific training sessions, customized training materials, and conduct training sessions for employees and board members to enhance awareness and understanding.
- Stay updated on legal and regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
- Provide guidance on compliance matters, participate in various committees and projects, and report to internal and external stakeholders.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of 8 years in compliance within the investment funds industry, with a strong track record of acting as an RC.
- Ideally, led small teams, demonstrating effective leadership and mentoring skills.
- Extensive expertise in Compliance, AML/CTF, and regulatory requirements, particularly in AIFMD and UCITS.
- Excellent English and German communication skills are essential, with proficiency in French being advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite for documentation, analysis, and reporting purposes is required.
