Role summary
Amazon seeks a Financial Manager to act as WW Amazon Pay Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) role. This position will work closely with various senior stakeholders including Business Directors and partners, Accounting, Finance, and Financial system teams to solve complex problems that directly impact Amazon’s financial reporting. As a Finance Manager, you’ll help us optimize our finances so that we can enhance our customer experience even more and navigate the fast-changing business environment we are currently implementing. This role is an opportunity to act as the key finance leader for a strategic program and get really involved with shaping our future business.

Key job responsibilities
- Lead large-scale change management initiatives and provide strategic direction on how to optimize the way finance organizations function across Amazon.
- Build financial models to drive business decisions and make judgement calls on challenges using your understanding of Amazon’s and Amazon Pay cost structure
- Generate insights from financial data, identify opportunities for greater efficiency, and communicate findings with the leadership team to drive business actions
- Partner with Business Finance teams to allocate operating expenses to appropriate businesses monthly and for planning cycles.
- Partner with Accounting and Business Intelligence teams to define requirements for and prioritize projects to improve reporting accuracy and automation.
- Own the full financial P&L and operational plan and financial reporting, create scalable processes and monitor teams for accuracy
- Supporting operations partners in areas that include, but are not limited to, planning, productivity goals, defect tracking, metrics and performance measurement, and operations cost reduction projects.
- Onboard, and develop team members in areas of financial reporting for accuracy, create best practice materials and promote knowledge sharing
- Ad hoc financial analysis and data support for business team.

A day in the life
This is an excellent opportunity to shape a pivot shifting and future growing business in an entrepreneurial environment. This person will dive deep to understand the intricacies of data and its sources, combine multiple sources of data to build a complete picture of business performance, partner with business teams to address reporting needs, and concisely communicate performance drivers to business partners and finance leadership. This role also has regular interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skill. You will also help other teams across the geos (EU, US, JP) to gain access to vital insights and to collaborate.

About the team
Amazon Pay Finance team, which is WW structured with support in all three geos (EU/US/JP), supports Amazon Pay business which is Amazon's externally-facing payment solution for merchants, facilitating payment transactions between Amazon customers and (external) merchants in the US, EU, and Japan. Buyers find Amazon Pay as an option when paying on a merchant’s site, store, app, or with an Alexa skill, and will pay using the information in their Amazon accounts. Amazon Pay Finance sits within Consumer Payments (CP) which is responsible for building, maintaining and ensuring the security of the Payments platform used across all of Amazon’s Consumer organization (excluding India) and enabling it to be used more broadly across other parts of Amazon.
