**Your Role**
We are seeking a Transfer Agency Associate to join our Business Controls team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and motivated professional to develop their financial career within a leading organization. The Business Control specialist will be primarily involved in completing independent control activities, ensuring significant incidents are handled appropriately and working in partnership with Operations to enhance controls.
**Your Team**
This individual will be part of the Business Controls team dedicated to Transfer Agency specifically. You'll be directly reporting into an Assistant Vice President.
**Your Responsibilities**
- Provide a supporting role in the wider area of incident analysis, continuous improvement and quality reviews.
- Implement and adhere to the IFDS Luxembourg Business Control Framework for all operational activities within IFDS Luxembourg and outsourcing service providers.
- Build strong working relationships with management and staff across all functions and locations to achieve operational control objectives.
- Evaluate significant incident escalation forms ensuring root cause has been identified and robust preventative measures are considered and implemented.
- Ensure appropriate internal controls and procedures are in place and adhered to in order to mitigate operational risks.
- Ensure an awareness of and adherence to the key Transfer Agency controls at all times.
- Contribute to operational, client, risk, audit and regulatory meetings as required.
- Act as a point of escalation for control concerns and manage these issues to resolution, in line with the internal escalation policy.
- Participate in the yearly Business Control sampling calendar in conjunction with Compliance monitoring.
**Your Profile**
- A minimum of 2-3 years' experience within a financial services / banking environment.
- Technical and product knowledge of the Transfer Agency business including legislation and regulations on oversight requirements.
- Administrative, organisational and business support skills, with the ability to multi-task, meet multiple deadlines and yet work calmly under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly formal report writing.
- Attention to detail, analytical mind-set and influencing ability.
- Enthusiastic, Results and Team orientated with a positive can do attitude.
- Problem solving ability - Fast, clear and independent thinker who is naturally curious about how things work; is metrics and numbers savvy; has an analytical mind-set and is solution focused.
- Communicator, capable of dealing with both internal & external stakeholders at all levels. Self-starter, ability to work on own initiative. Fluent in English (written & oral).
