We are looking for an experienced Risk Manager to join the Global Payments Risk team to support the execution of the Outsourcing Program (Third-Party Risk) and assist in performing Product and Enterprise Risk Assessments for all Amazon Payments Entities globally. The Risk Manager will be responsible for supporting the team in performing the 2nd line oversight activities as part of the Global Risk Management Framework. This includes risk assessment activities, risk monitoring, escalation and mitigation strategies. Key job responsibilities
- Partner with First Line Outsourcing Risk team on the execution of the Outsourcing Program, including providing guidance, oversight and escalation on the different program components
- Perform the 2nd line oversight activities on Outsourcing including the review of due diligence and vendor risk assessments, performance monitoring of the vendor portfolio and proactive tracking of the Outsourcing risk register
- Provide Board-level updates on the state of the Outsourcing Program to key stakeholders, including the Head of Global Risk, the board of Payments Entities, the 3rd line of defense and external stakeholders
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge and solid understanding of relevant anti-money laundering, countering terrorism regulations, consumer protection and insurance regulations.
- Significantly contribute to the design, development, implementation, and execution of various activities of the Risk Management Framework including Product Risk and Enterprise Risk Assessments
- Perform operational deep dives to understand and find gaps in compliance-related processes and services;
- Identify and assess inherent and residual risks related to control deficiencies;
- Embrace the use of data analytics to increase value and reduce costs of compliance-related assurance activities;
- Manage several projects simultaneously with precision and accuracy.
- Knowledge of Third-Party Risk Management principles and the applicable regulations on Outsourcing (e.g. EBA Guidelines on Outsourcing Arrangements)
- Strong experience in Financial risk management
- Solid Excel/VBA/SQL skills and data visualization techniques
- Direct exposure to regulatory work
