Your next challenge:
The role of the Credit Portfolio Monitoring team leader is pivotal in overseeing and managing the monitoring of the bank's credit portfolio, focusing on performance, trends, risks, and opportunities.
This position requires a blend of analytical prowess, risk management proficiency, and a proactive approach to ensuring that Management is equipped with essential insights into the credit portfolio for strategic decision-making and enhancements.
- Supervise the analysis of the credit portfolio's performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities. Ensure timely preparation and delivery of comprehensive reports to senior management, summarizing key portfolio metrics, performance indicators, and risk assessments.
- Lead initiatives to identify and evaluate potential risks within the credit portfolio. Implement strategies to mitigate identified risks and fortify the overall risk management framework.
- Utilize early warning systems developed by 2LoD to promptly identify signs of deteriorating credit quality. Define triggers and thresholds for risk indicators to enable proactive responses to emerging issues.
- Oversee the implementation and upkeep of systems and analytical tools to facilitate effective portfolio monitoring, including rating calculation.
- Maintain regular reporting on overdraft follow-ups, deficit coverage, loan maturity, annual reviews, and request necessary actions from relevant teams when required.
- Engage in projects aimed at enhancing credit processes.
- Collaborate with credit risk analysts and other pertinent departments to gather insights and exchange information on portfolio performance.
- General Management & Organization of the team: Monitor and enhance staff performance through regular one-on-one sessions, performance evaluations, and training plans.
Your skills:
- Credit Risk Management Expertise: Profound knowledge of credit risk management principles encompassing credit analysis, risk assessment, and portfolio monitoring techniques
- Risk Reporting: Hands-on experience in crafting and delivering risk reports to senior management.
- Analytical Skills: Robust analytical abilities to interpret intricate financial data, spot trends, and evaluate portfolio performance.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex information clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in writing. This includes the capability to present findings to senior management and stakeholders effectively.
- Up-to-date familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards in the financial sector, with the capability to ensure the team adheres to these requirements.
- Banking Experience: Substantial background in Front Office and/or risk management roles within the banking realm
- Proficiency in French and English
- Sound understanding of Front Office activities
- Profound understanding of credit-related activities
- Good grasp of the Bank's cross-functional activities (IT, Operations, Central & Support functions)
