We are in search of a Maintenance Automation Technician to be part of our team at the Mercury Plant in Dudelange.

What you will do:

  • Join a dynamic and diverse international team in an advanced, automated tire production facility
  • Work in a digitalized environment with cutting-edge technology
  • Enhance your skills in preventive and corrective equipment maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, and industrial automation system maintenance (PLCs)
  • Pioneer safety, quality, reliability, and productivity enhancements by introducing and executing innovative ideas

Role Summary:

  • We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Automation Technician to ensure the efficient operation of our manufacturing facility at Goodyear Mercury Plant. This role involves diagnosing, fixing, and servicing various equipment and machinery to maintain our high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to grasp automation needs and goals
  • Program, configure, and troubleshoot automated machinery and control systems
  • Perform automation and electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs adhering to safety standards and regulations
  • Assist in incorporating new automation technologies into existing production processes
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancement and implement efficient solutions
  • Strive for zero equipment breakdown through top-notch preventative maintenance
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to boost system reliability
  • Take part in spare parts management and training sessions as needed

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in Automation or similar role, with hands-on expertise in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated systems
  • Solid understanding of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and other automation control systems
  • Proficiency in programming with Rockwell, Siemens, or equivalent
  • Familiarity with industrial robotics and programming languages is a plus
  • Skills in data and configuration management
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and regulations
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams
  • Proficient in diagnostic tools and equipment usage
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as necessary
  • Effective teamwork and collaboration abilities, with leadership and coaching skills
