Our client, part of a leading financial group, is seeking a Compliance Officer F/M for their Luxembourg branch.
This is a newly created position, offering an exciting opportunity to shape and enhance the compliance framework within the organization.

Key Responsibilities :
Compliance Framework:
  • Implement, manage, and adapt a comprehensive compliance framework addressing all non-compliance risks, including training and Culture and Conduct aspects.
  • Ensure adherence to local regulations, addressing exemptions when local rules are stricter than group policies.
Monitoring and Controls:
  • Establish monitoring, surveillance, and control systems to prevent or detect compliance and reputational risks.
Advisory:
  • Advise entity management and business units on daily compliance matters.
  • Lead business unit activities through dedicated committees and training/awareness actions.
Governance and External Relationships:
  • Steer non-compliance control and mitigation for the entity/branches.
  • Follow up on and implement audit, inspection, or remediation actions related to compliance.
  • Handle alerts for anti-money laundering, terrorism financing, and market abuse, making necessary declarations.
  • Represent the entity/branches on non-compliance issues to clients, counterparts, professional organizations, and market actors.
Your profile :
  • Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Audit, or Risk.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a compliance role within the financial sector, with a focus on implementing and managing compliance frameworks.
  • Fluency in English and French.
  • Deep knowledge of the regulatory environment, risk, and legal activities in the financial sector.
  • Familiarity with the banking, financing, and insurance sectors.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
