CHIEF COMPLIANCE OFFICER (FINTECH) (M/F)
THE JOB:
DO Recruitment is delighted to support it's a client an international payment solution company in the search of its Chief Compliance Officer. The CCO will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing all compliance-related aspects of our operations.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive compliance strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.
- Ensure the organization complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including PSD2, AML/CFT, MiFID II, GDPR, and other relevant regulations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF), ensuring all regulatory filings and communications are managed effectively.
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures to mitigate risk and ensure regulatory adherence.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks across the organization.
- Design and conduct compliance training programs for employees to promote a culture of compliance and ethical behaviour.
- Oversee regular compliance audits and monitoring activities to ensure ongoing adherence to policies and regulations.
- Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and regulatory authorities as required.
- Work closely with legal, risk management, and operational teams to ensure compliance initiatives are integrated into business processes.
- Lead investigations into compliance-related issues and coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries and examinations.
- Evaluate and manage relationships with external compliance vendors and consultants.
THE PROFILE:
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CAMS, CFE, CRCM) is preferred.
- Minimum of 9 years of proven experience in compliance roles, with at least 5 years in a management role.
- Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to the payment industry, including CSSF regulations and key payment directives such as PSD2, AMLD, and GDPR.
- Strong understanding of risk management principles and practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and detail-oriented mindset.
- Experience in developing and implementing compliance programs and policies.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations and practices.
- Familiarity with compliance-related technologies and tools.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in French or German is an advantage.
