Responsabilities
You'd be given the opportunity to join a great European institution and be part of the Databases Operations team (PGSQL 11->16, AWS RDS PGSQL, Oracle 19C and MSSQL 2016 ->2022).
- Administer, monitor, and maintain PostgreSQL databases, ensuring high availability and optimal performance
- Automate database administration tasks using Ansible, including deployments, updates, and configuration management
- Perform lifecycle management for PostgreSQL and Red Hat environments, including in-place updates and upgrades
- Manage database security, grants, permissions, and user roles
- Handle backup and restoration processes using PostgreSQL Barman
- Monitor and respond to alerts using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana & Pulse
- Use administration tools such as Pgadmin and Omnidb for database management
- Collaborate with Architecture and Development teams to support migrations from Oracle to PostgreSQL on-premises or cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS RDS PostgreSQL)
- Create, maintain, and update clear, detailed, and organized documentation for processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides
- Adhere to ITIL processes, including incident, problem, and change management, using a ticketing system (ServiceNow)
- Participate in on-call rotation and ensure timely resolution of incidents
Technical skills
- Proficiency with PostgreSQL tools and features, including replication, performance tuning, and backup strategies
- Strong expertise in Ansible for automation
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Pgadmin, and Omnidb
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL Barman for backups
- Understanding of Red Hat Linux lifecycle management
- Nice to have skills :

- Experience with database migrations from Oracle to PostgreSQL
Profile
- 3-5 years of experience with PostgreSQL database administration
- Proven ability to create and maintain clear, concise, and accurate documentation
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work in rotation shifts (7:00-16:00 or 10:00-19:00)
- B2 level minimum in English
- French is a nice to have
