TASK RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our Integrated Airline Control Center (IACC) is the nerve center of the airline and its day-to-day operations.

As the head of the departments, you will have the following responsibilities:

Task responsibilities:

  • Lead the continuous improvement of the IACC by focusing on the strategic aspects of this operational department
  • Build a shared mission on how flight operations in the future should operate efficiently
  • Coordinate with the main departments such as:
  • Flight Operations,
  • Maintenance & Engineering,
  • Ground Operations,
  • Network/Revenue Management,
  • Ramp and Hub Steering,
- as well as with any other the internal/external unit which is required for the operational control process;

  • Identify early problems with regards to planned Flight Operations, flight economics and specific factors that could negatively affect the regularity / profitability and / or punctuality of planned Flight Operations in order to initiate or to take corrective actions inside or outside the company
  • Prepare management information on IACC KPI's and other relevant topics
  • Add value to the operation procedures and improve the operation efficiency
  • Maintain and improve the Operation manuals/procedures and service standards

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

  • Degree in Air Transport Management or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of internal airline processes and structure
  • Good understanding on crew, network and operational control principles
  • Good understanding of basic operational standards and requirements of a safe an economical flight execution within airline
  • At least 10 years relevant aviation experience in Flight Operations related to worldwide flight operations with experience in a leadership role
  • Knowledgeable in EASA and IOSA regulations
  • Ability to manage and lead a team in a multicultural environment
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in people management
  • High level senior management experience and management skills
  • Results oriented and solution driven with good problem solving and decision making skills
  • Strategic mindset, seeing ahead to future possibilities
  • Cost and quality awareness
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required, any additional language will be an advantage
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook)

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Position based in Luxembourg
  • Flexible with working hours
  • Occasional travel required within the entire Cargolux network
  • A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection
  • Internal title will be: Director IACC
