Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) is looking for a project quality manager. The project quality manager will be responsible for leading and supporting various projects from a quality point of view.
In this role, you will be provided with opportunities to demonstrate your technical quality knowledge, interacting with customers or internal stakeholders and lead transformation initiatives.
Our Team
What You Will Do:
- Owning the quality aspect of various projects, you will have to understand customer requirements, develop/review the quality documentation needed for the project and ensure a strong followup of those quality requirements up to completion of those projects
- Being responsible for the welding activity in the shop (Welder qualification, WPS, PQR) to ensure that those are up to date and developing those as per business needs
- Being the PED representative for the company to ensure compliance with the standard
- Performing NDT control (PT, PMI, visual inspection) and/or shop inspection as per project needs
- Following and/or proposing improvement opportunities to improve the quality of our products
- Developing your technical knowledge to become a quality expert for the company
- Ensuring that quality control is performed as per expectations inhouse or at subsupplier premises through local inspector or by yourself
- Having a problemsolving approach to constantly look for the best approach to any new challenge
- Working closely with project manager, process team, sales team and production department to allow high efficiency and added value within our processes
- Promoting knowledge sharing within your team but also within the company and supporting lesson learned process
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications):
- Engineer degree in quality related field with a very strong knowledge on welding (IWE certification expected)
- At least PT2 certified with also good knowledge of RT
- Excellent understanding of painting requirements
- Previous successful experience in Quality Department
- Fluent both in English and French. Any additional languages would be an asset.
- Excellent organizational skills, problem solving mindset and accountable for your work.
- Knowledge of international Code such as ASME and PED as well as European directives (ATEX, Machinery)
- Experience in pressure vessels, steel structure and skid fabrication
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes especially those related to process burner or flare.
- Ability to travel at subsupplier/customer for Pre-Inspection Meeting and/or inspection activity (expected 1020% of your time)
What Will Put You Ahead?
- High certification for PT, RT and or FROSIO (for instance PT3)
- Result oriented mindset
- Former experience in oil and gas industry
