About Baliston

We are a fast growing startup in the exciting space of sustainable smart wearables, building the next generation wearable product with a companion mobile app to interface with the device.


We are utilising machine learning and advanced health analytics to bring to the market our approach for solving one of today's largest global issues - minimising one carbon footprint at a time.


The role:


We are looking for a talented UI / UX / Visual designer to help shape the mobile, e-commerce and marketing experiences for our upcoming disruptive service.


You will be part of the Baliston design team in Luxembourg ( mostly on-site ) and along with other designers you will be working daily with the product development and marketing teams.


Skill requirements:

  • Handson experience designing a range of deliverables like responsive website wireframes & interactive prototypes, UI libraries, landing pages, marketing campaign & branding material, social media content
  • Mastery of Adobe CC
  • Strong illustration skills is a must data visualisation and graphs, illustrations
  • Design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision
  • Animation skills ( After Effects
  • Lottie )
  • Adequate understanding of HTML5/CSS
  • Ad platform knowledge ( Google ads, Facebook ads etc )
  • Shopify content management is a plus

Experience and mindset:

  • 2+ years as a UI / Visual designer ( portfolio required )
  • University degree or a relevant educational qualification is a plus
  • Working proficiency in English
  • Ecommerce experience ( preferably on Shopify )
  • Full of creative ideas with a problem solving mindset and an understanding of current technology platforms
  • Able to take ownership of your designs and present them to stakeholders
  • Experience with developer handoff
  • Open to receiving objective feedback and improving upon it
