Overview of the Department/Team
The Fund Finance Team is responsible for the financial management and reporting activities of funds and segregated mandates managed or advised by Nuveen Real Estate (NRE) in Europe.
As an intern you will be expected to;- Provide administrative support to the fund finance team, undertaking tasks such as coding invoices, preparing information for tax and VAT filings, regular fund and asset reporting and basic bookkeeping/management accounting.
What this program will offer you- A 10-week summer program, where you will participate in a robust training curriculum, attend company functions, including speaker series, lunch-and-learns and social networking events that will offer the opportunity for career growth and personal development.
What skills & competencies we require:
- On track to attain a 2:1 undergraduate degree or equivalent
- Studying Finance & Accounting, Economics or similar
- A demonstrated interest in investment management, preferably within Real Estate
- Examples of professional & personal commitment to excellence
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Team player
- A strategic thinker with potential to analytically comprehend investment, as well as an entrepreneurial mind-set
- Strong competency with Microsoft Office (word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
- Financial modelling is desirable
- Fluent in English and French
- We will only consider students in their penultimate year graduating in 2024
- We will only consider applicants who have right to live and work in the country for where the internship is located
- You must be able to work the internship dates of 26th June
- 31st August 2023
