TASK RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collect, distribute and share all flight related information with concerned departments.
  • Plan, coordinate and follow up on export related tasks.
  • Assist in reacting to short term changes and adapting staff planning according to the needs.
  • Proceed with documentation checks & amendments when requested.
  • Ability to cover each of the specific tasks within Export & Data control and ready to train staff.
  • Coordinate operations with other departments within Cargolux Luxembourg Hub.
  • Closely plan & supervise the cargo flow through Cargolux Luxembourg Hub with the Ground Handling Agent.
  • Instruct and share processes with the handling agent.
  • Assist and fulfil internal and external customer's requirements.
  • If needed, perform tasks on behalf of staff (i.e. staff shortage).
  • Keep all the parties informed about the status/condition of their freight.
  • Maintain records of activities.
  • Ensure system updates & transmissions are processed in due time.
  • Contribute to team effort.
  • Assist the Management of the department in their duties.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

  • General school leaving certificate of secondary education or equivalent (e.g. A-Level, BAC, Abitur) or an apprenticeship in Logistics is required.
  • 35 Years of experience within the Air Cargo Industry in similar departments.
  • Be fluent in English, French and German. Luxembourgish will be considered as an advantage.
  • Have good knowledge of standard IT products, MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • Feeling comfortable to work in a team as well as autonomously.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize the tasks within the department goals.
  • Ability to establish and maintain good customer relations.
  • Ability to perform error free in difficult situations within tight deadlines and without direct supervision.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection.
  • The position holder will be mostly on day shift (Monday to Friday, pm), but should be flexible & willing to work on shifts 24/7/365 when required.
  • Position based in Luxembourg.
  • Occasional travel required within the entire Cargolux network.
