The Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM) contributes multidisciplinary expertise in the fields of
Mathematics,
Physics,
Engineering,
Computer Science,
Life Sciences and
Medicine. Through its dual mission of teaching and research, the FSTM seeks to generate and disseminate knowledge and train new generations of responsible citizens, in order to better understand, explain and advance society and environment we live in.

Your Role...

  • Contributing to teaching (lectures for Master students and thesis supervision)
  • Assistance in PhD student supervision
  • Close collaboration and knowledge exchange with national and international collaborators

What we expect from you

  • A PhD in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Chemistry or related disciplines
  • A proven experience in process engineering with design, commissioning and optimisation according to R&D's specifications
  • Strong background in water monitoring and water/wastewater treatment
  • Advanced competence in laboratory and analytical work is necessary
  • Capability to examine large data sets
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and good communication skills (oral and written)
  • Experience with highresolution mass spectrometry and target/nontarget analysis is a plus
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory, skills in French, German and/or Luxembourgish are a bonus but not necessary

The yearly gross salary for every Postdoctoral Researcher at the UL is EUR 83099 full time
