As the representative of our Valuation Oversight function reporting directly to the Conducting Officer, your role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless valuation oversight of our diverse investment portfolio across structured and private equity, private debt, real estate assets, and credit.

Primary responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):
The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure that fund portfolio asset valuation and NAVs are accurate and produced consistently, on time and to a high standard across all funds.
  • Ensure that robust documentation and governance is maintained to demonstrate compliance to the AIFM valuation policy and the relevant regulatory requirements
  • You will need to be proactive in understanding transactions and any matters which have a valuation impact and work with the investment teams to embed standard fund and assets valuation operating models on new deals.
  • Provide brief or comprehensive Valuation Committee members and other stakeholders on fund portfolio asset valuation on all relevant aspects including methodology, inputs, model and governance
  • Organising AIFM valuation committees and actively participating and presenting the results of your analysis in a clear and concise manner to the committee.
  • Acting as a secretary of the AIFM Valuation committees
  • Acting as first point of contact for all valuation topics which will require to:
  • Liaising with portfolio managers, auditors, valuers, depositaries and other key stakeholders.
  • Working closely with internal and external funds services team to strengthen the oversight of the valuation function for ICG fund range in general.
  • Participate to the training and development of staff on valuation matters.
  • Monitoring latest trends / regulations / methods on valuation and valuation function governance and providing valuation advice on new products and services.
Key Requirements/ Qualifications

You will have demonstrable experience of:

  • 5+ years' experience within the valuation or related functions in either:
  • Alternative fund management company.
  • Audit/consulting firm.
  • Backoffice/fund administration service provider
  • Fluent in English, both written and oral
  • Extensive experience in working in the alternative asset management industry with a good background in valuations, accounting, auditing and financial modelling.
  • Previous exposure to the private equity and/or private debt sector
  • Ability to provide clear and comprehensive reporting on asset valuations and fund accounts.
  • Strong knowledge of private and/or real estate asset industry and its valuation standards (e.g. INREV, IPEV, RICS), models and methodologies
  • A deep understanding of and previous exposure to Luxembourg fund regulations/market practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills are required to develop close working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Effective writing and communication skills in order to strengthen the valuation framework (through policies, procedures, valuation memos)
  • Educational background: Valuations, Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics
