VAT Tax Manager

We are working with a growing and dynamic client who is looking for a VAT Tax Manager to join their team. This role will provide support to the tax team on indirect tax compliance and all administration matters related to Luxembourg VAT

Key responsibilities:
- Involvement in review of the preparation of VAT returns, VAT Assessments and other relevant indirect VAT matters and calculations. Ensure adherence to policy, procedure and regulations
- Ensure client VAT records are correct and filings are done within required timeframes
- Act an escalation point for the team on all VAT issues and be a subject matter expert, following up with various stakeholders including client and relevant service providers
- Point of contact for tax advisers and Luxembourg tax authorities
- Coach and mentor members of the team on all matters related to VAT - be involved in trainings where required
- Participate in all ad-hoc projects related to VAT.
To be successful in this role, you will require the following:
- Ideally you will have an accounting or finance degree and/or be fully ACCA qualified or part qualified as well as additional qualification such as Chamber of Commerce - Cycle A&B Diplomas
- Ideally have between 4-6 years of proven VAT experience, with a very good knowledge of preparing and reviewing VAT tax returns
- Good organization and communication skills
- Able to work under pressure and ability to work to tight deadlines
- Experience using eCDF, eFiscalease, would be useful
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written, with another European language advantageous
