Road Feeder Service

TASK RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for a logistics enthusiast to join our Global RFS Management team. You will ensure that the Road Feeder Service (RFS) costs for Cargolux are in line with agreed procedures, policies and agreements on a worldwide basis.
More specifically, you will:
- Initiate and support the development and implementation of key cost related KPI's for trucking operations and create Dashboards for regular reviews.
- Monitor special expenses related to handling and transport by invoicing customers for expenses not covered by the agreed terms during the time of booking (waiting times, second driver...) for transport related matters.
- Calculation and review of ancillary charges related to the trucking operations.
- Benchmark trucking cost against the market and make recommendations for RFPs accordingly.
- Maintain electronic records of all trucking contracts worldwide including regularly varying fuel surcharge levels.
- Review of invoices not matching between the accruals and the invoice as highlighted by Finance.
- Preparation of quarterly business reviews by participating in the setup of the target settings and measurement methodologies.
- Support the Sr Manager Global RFS Management with RFS tender processes, in close collaboration with other departments.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aviation, Business Administration, Logistics or any other relevant field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience (preferably either with an Airline, or in a 3/4 PL logistics provider or a trucking company)
- Passion for air cargo with a focus on surface transport and willingness to deal with costs.
- Proficient in Excel (inc. VBA) and other MS Office tools. Knowledge of PowerBi and/or SAP is an advantage.
- Be trustworthy, honest, serviceminded and have a global mindset.
- Solid analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Feeling comfortable with working both in a team and autonomously.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively.
- Be openminded and relate comfortably with diverse groups of people.
- Fluency in written and spoken English, with good communication skills. Other languages are a distinct advantage.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Fulltime and permanent position based in Luxembourg.
- Business travel may occasionally be required (entire CV Network).
- A certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection.
