About the SnT...

The University of Luxembourg is seeking to hire a highly motivated and an outstanding engineer in the area of Embedded Systems, Real-Time Signal Processing and Space & Satellite Communications for its Interdisciplinary Centre of Security and Trust (SnT), within the Signal Processing and Communications (SigCom) research group, led by Prof.

Björn Ottersten and Prof. Symeon Chatzinotas.

Your Role...

  • Contributing to research and development projects in the fields of:
  • AI/ML-accelerated Satellite Communications
  • Spacebased Edge Computing and Internetworking
  • 5G/6G Non-Terrestrial Networks and Satellite-Terrestrial Integration
  • Quantum communications
  • Implementing control, networking and signal processing algorithms for the 6GSpaceLab
  • Contributing to the dissemination of the research results
  • Preparing new research proposals to attract industrial, national and European projects
  • Collaborate in ongoing ESA, European, and national projects
  • Assisting in the organization of relevant workshops and demos

Your Profile...

  • At least 5 years of experience in embedded systems design in industry or public funded research projects
  • Handson implementation and testing of embedded processing systems including Petalinux (and Pynq(on the embedded ARM cores of Xilinx Zynq MPSoC / Versal ACAP
  • Knowledge of hardwaresoftware codesign and verification techniques using FPGA. Experience using Vivado SDK / Vitis is a plus
  • AIaccelerated signal processing with dedicated hardware (GPU, FPGA and AI chipsets)
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++(QT), C#, Other languages such as Python or JULIA are a plus
  • Knowledge of Communications and Networking standards (3GPP, DVB) would be a benefit
  • Highly committed, excellent teamworker, and strong critical thinking skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
