â Own engineering delivery across squads, from planning through execution to outcomes.
<\/div>

â Drive predictable delivery with realistic timelines and visible progress.
<\/div>

â Hold teams accountable to commitments, milestones, and roadmap goals.
<\/div>

â Identify blockers, slippage, and execution risks early and address them head\-on.
<\/div>

â Run focused, high signal sprints with clear priorities and outcomes.

Leadership and culture<\/b>
<\/div>

â Lead and scale an engineering organisation of roughly 30 to 50 people.
<\/div>

â Build a high\-performance culture grounded in clarity, ownership, and psychological safety.
<\/div>

â Coach engineering managers and senior engineers to own results, not just activity.
<\/div>

â Establish strong feedback, performance, and growth frameworks.
<\/div>

â Partner closely with the CTO to challenge thinking, surface trade\-offs, and raise standards.
<\/div>

Hiring and team building<\/b>
<\/div>

â Hire quickly and thoughtfully as the organisation scales.
<\/div>

â Build a strong bench of engineering managers and tech leads.
<\/div>

â Ensure hiring, onboarding, and progression are fair, structured, and effective.
<\/div>

â Continuously raise the talent bar while supporting growth at every level.
<\/div>

You do not need to code day to day, but you must be comfortable challenging architectural
<\/div>

decisions, system design, and technical trade\-offs.
<\/div>
