Private Markets Product - EMEA, Managing Director

The Alternatives Product organization seeks a qualified leader with strong experience and interest in product solutions for Private Markets in EMEA. State Street is making a multi-year strategic investment in Private Markets and as we look to increase our footprint in the EMEA region, we need a strong manager to work with clients and prospects on new product development and execution and refinement of our multi-year strategy.

This role will report to the EMEA Head of Private Markets and is responsible for defining and executing on the Alternatives roadmap in the region and expansion of our EMEA Private Markets offering (capabilities, services and platform). The product offering includes front-office technology, traditional middle and back-office asset and fund administration, and transfer agency, including our Alpha for Private Markets strategy. The role is a key voice in our overall private markets product and in helping to strengthen State Street’s position in the industry. The product and capabilities development work are expected to align with increasing our market share, closing product gaps to support client retention, client growth, and enhancing client experience.
- Responsibilities_- In collaboration with the EMEA Head of Private Markets and global Alternatives Product team, build and execute the product strategy for State Street’s Alternatives segment in the region.- Grow our Alternatives share of wallet by partnering and solutioning with our sales and segments teams, including supporting RFI/RFP responses and pitch meetings.-
- Assist in creating our technology, services and product strategy including competitive landscape, pricing and go-to market.-
- Participate and provide thought leadership for the product.- Gather and track client feedback/requests and incorporate in product development roadmap.- Lead conception, development and implementation of new products, capabilities or services impacting the Private Markets business in EMEA, including partnering with other members of the Product team, Global Delivery, Technology and the Alpha team.- Support annual planning and funding prioritization activities where required.
- Skills_- A combination of proven performance, business acumen, and critical thinking skills.- Strong written and verbal communication, influencing and collaboration skills including the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior leaders at State Street, clients and prospects.- Experience in supporting sales processes by pricing new business, participating client/prospect presentations and pitch meetings.- Demonstrate strong understanding of product development process, agile development and experience with asset servicing for Private Markets is a plus.- Excellent project management, analytical and process transformation skills, including experience with agile development processes and tools.- Ability to organize, prioritize, balance key tasks and manage time effectively - expectation to lead as well as roll up your sleeves as needed.- Self-motivated professional with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and goals

Education & Preferred Qualifications- Minimum of 15 years of Alternatives experience in back, front and/or middle office.- Expertise with fund accounting, investor services and data management platforms- Understanding of the Alternatives industry within the region including regulatory requirements
