Through its dual mission of teaching and research, the FSTM seeks to generate and disseminate knowledge and train new generations of responsible citizens in order to better understand, explain and advance society and environment we live in. **Your role** - Respnsibilities: _ - Develop lightweight AI/ML models for detecting cyber threats in TSN-based automotive networks - Explore and implement reinforcement learning algorithms for secure, real-time traffic scheduling and flow reconfiguration - Conduct testbed-based evaluations using automotive-grade hardware in collaboration with ATEEL - Contribute to scientific publications, software prototypes, and open dissemination of research outcomes - Participate in planned secondments at ATEEL's industrial R&D environment to gain practical insight into compliance testing and certification **Your profile** - Master's degree (or soon to complete) in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Embedded Systems, or a related discipline - Strong interest in cybersecurity, real-time systems, networking protocols, and applied machine learning - Experience in at least two of the relevant research areas listed above - Excellent written and spoken English (French and/or German is an asset) - Motivation for interdisciplinary and applied research - Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) - Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) - Reinforcement Learning and/or Deep Learning - Real-time embedded systems - Automotive cybersecurity standards (ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE WP.29) - Proficiency in Python and/or C/C++ and Linux-based systems - Familiarity with OMNeT++, Mininet, or network testbeds (asset) **We offer** - Multilingual and international character.
