**Description**:
An Operation System Expert in a transportation company is working with the management on technology projects related to the company’s daily operations at our Munsbach location. This position involves coordinating IT initiatives to optimize operational processes, such as maintain and develop transport systems, maintaining IT infrastructure, and integrating new technological solutions.

The Operation System Expert contribute to projects from planning to implementation, ensuring that deadlines, budgets, and objectives are met. They work closely with operational departments to ensure that IT systems effectively support transport operations. Effective change management, problem-solving, and continuous process improvement are also part of their responsibilities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide First Level Support for System Users : Identify and diagnose issues and problems, categorize and record reported queries and provide solutions, support problem identification, monitor issues from start to resolution, escalate unresolved problems to a higher level of support.
- IT Project Management: Coordinate, and oversee technology projects related to operations, especially those impacting transport flow management, logistics, and communication systems.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to improve existing IT systems, focusing on the efficiency of transport operations and IT infrastructure maintenance.
- Performance Tracking: Implement performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of the solutions implemented and propose corrective actions when necessary.
- Risk Management: Identify technical and operational risks, develop mitigation plans, and proactively manage issues.
- Communication with Stakeholders: Collaborate with various departments (operations, finance, marketing) to ensure project cohesion and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives, advise and train users on appropriate system usage
- Continuous Improvement: Propose innovative solutions to improve the performance and profitability of IT systems related to transport operations.
- Communicate effectively with end users and customer management
- Take charge of any other request made by the management considering the professional and personal skills of the employee.

**Skills and Knowledge Required**:

- Project coordination: Strong project collaboration skills with proven experience working on complex and multifunctional IT projects.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of IT systems used in transportation (fleet management, supply chain management, ticketing systems, etc.).
- Data Analysis: Ability to analyze performance data and draw conclusions to improve systems.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Ability to identify, assess, and manage risks associated with IT projects.
- Problem Solving: Ability to quickly resolve technical and operational problems in a dynamic and evolving environment.

**Education and Experience**:

- Education: Master’s degree (Bac +5) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (engineering school, master’s in information systems, etc.).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in IT projects, ideally within the transportation, logistics, or industrial sectors.
- Good experience with EDI beneficial and, TMS and WMS tools.
- Certifications (optional): PMP (Project Management Professional), ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), or equivalent certifications in IT project management are a plus. Knowledge of ISO standards is also advantageous.
- Languages: Proficiency in English is often an asset, especially for managing international projects.
