It has its own technical infrastructure development and generates around 30 million monthly visits.
Key responsibilities & duties:
- Providing maintainable, scalable and robust code;
- Ensuring security of deliverables and keep up to date to the latest trends and threats;
- Adapting to fast pace changes ensuring that agreed deadlines are respected;
- Taking ownership of new and existing features for our platform systems, integrating with external systems such as online payments solutions and existing internal systems as well as build new ones.
**Requirements**:
- You have a degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience;
- You know PHP inside out with 4+ years of experience;
- You are used to object-oriented programming and familiar with common design patterns;
- You are able to write complex SQL queries, optimize them and avoid common pitfalls (MongoDB knowledge will be a plus);
- You have a good grasp of the whole stack and understand the impact of your code on the underlying layers (CPU, IOs, memory,...);
- You are autonomous - when facing a problem, you know how to debug and if you can't, you RTFM or STFW;
- You prefer reading documentation than blindly cut & pasting random code snippets;
- You are fluent in English.
The following will be considered an advantage:
- Knowledge and experience with Symfony1/2 and ORMs;
- Practical use of git or other distributed SCMs;
- Experience in web interfaces heavily relying on javascript;
- Knowledge and experience in implementing payment or antifraud solutions and related tools;
- Eexposure to high volume traffic websites system.
