POSTE

YOUR MISSIONS

As a Risk Officer, your responsibility is to identify, evaluate, manage, and report on various risks associated with reinsurance activities and the broader operating environment of the company or its group. In the Risk Management Department, we seek a professional who will undertake the following key duties:
Assess and address a range of risks, including non-life underwriting risk, market risk, operational risk, and liquidity risk, in line with the directives of the Solvency II framework.
Contribute to the establishment and execution of the Operational Risk Management Framework.
Conduct thorough analyses of operational risk incidents, identifying root causes, coordinating meetings with business units, drafting event memos, reviewing proposed action plans, and tracking progress in the Operational Risk event database.
Assist in evaluating risks and controls owned by various departments, challenging assessments, and providing regular status updates on risk management.
Contribute to defining and reviewing key risk indicators within the Risk Appetite framework, with quarterly monitoring.
Aid in producing routine risk reports for management and specialized committees.
Periodically review and revise risk management policies.
Establish and monitor corrective action plans as agreed upon.
Engage in the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) process, oversee risk reporting, and participate in Solvency II calculations.
Maintain Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) for the company.
Foster a risk-aware culture and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
Support the Chief Risk Officer in overseeing risk management activities, liaising with management, other internal control functions, and all departments.

PROFIL

YOUR PROFILE

Master's degree (Masters in economics, statistics, actuarial sciences, or finance) or equivalent experience in
(re)insurance or financial sector.
Deep knowledge of risk management and a good understanding of how risk models, data and processes interact
in Luxembourg.
**Good command of MS Office**: advanced knowledge of Excel is required.
equivalent regulatory legislation.
Experience in a risk management role, having worked with risk models in Luxembourg or the EU.
Financial sector mandatory, Assurances sector is an asset.
French and English are mandatory (working language and administrative language of Luxembourg).
Available to start now, 6 months fixed-term contract.
