**Job description**
Facing a constant growth, they are looking for a
**Risk Manager.**
The role will provide opportunities to gain experience and exposure to core Risk Management principles and support the analysis and trending of key risks impacting the operational teams and divisions which will better assist them in defining and understanding their risk profile.
Your activities will include the following:
- Identify any operational risks arising from new business, services and products, ensure they are understood, documented and risk accepted by senior management as appropriate;
- Actively participate in forums to assess new products, services, and operational models, defining risks and implementing mitigating controls documented in the Risk and Control Self-Assessment. Coordinate with Risk Management Leads to ensure acknowledgment and acceptance of residual risks before launch;
- Maintain a current inventory of all new business and any incremental operational risks arising from it;
- Provide risk reporting on new business risks on an inherent and residual basis;
- Act as advisor on the various governance protocols which may be required;
- Provide support to the new business forums run by Risk by taking minutes, creating presentations, documenting operational risk assessments and maintaining an overview of the new business pipeline;
- Escalate any unique, non-standard client requirements which may influence the decision-making process;
- Monitor any material follow-ups are closed out prior to launch of new business;
- Provide support to Risk Management Leads and Product Division management with respect to control enhancements and process improvements and participate in integration and implementation of proposed solutions;
- Ensure new business and day to day operations are in line with the firm’s stated risk appetite and escalate any concerns;
- Support the Risk Management leads in driving a culture of risk awareness, transparency and escalation;
- Assist in the capture and publication of insights from developments in the market and on industry best practice to initiatives impacting or may potentially impact the Investor Services Line of Business;
- Support training initiatives to develop risk awareness, risk culture and understanding of fundamental control principles across the business.
**Profile**
- A minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience in Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency, Fund Administration, Custody operations or risk and control setting (Audit, Risk, Compliance, Legal);
- An enquiring mind, analytical skills and an eye for detail;
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral;
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal communication skills;
- Strong experience with Excel and PowerPoint.
