Every day, we unite as a team to deliver quality products and innovative solutions that earn our customer’s trust and build lasting relationships. **You can look forward to these exciting tasks**: - Actively participate in executing Webasto and GCC mission and strategy - Work with EH&S and quality to create and maintain a safe, compliant, organized lab environment - Define and follow standard GCC lab procedures and methodologies as well as documentation standards - Align quality requirements with procedures and documentation in the lab - Define, support acquisition and installation of validation equipment as well as run, calibrate, maintain, and trouble-shooting it - Propose insourcing of relevant testing capabilities if advantageous - Support ramp-up of new technologies in series production plants, especially Quality, Process Development, Program Management, and Sales - Cooperate very closely with product owners on design definitions, validations, timing, and costs - Supply information to product owners required for reporting to GCC, product owners, and Sales - Help direct new technologies to Webasto favorable designs - Plan and execute validation and test requirements which are based on internal and customer requirements - Identify and addresses product improvement by critically reviewing designs, validation results, and customer feedback - Understand customer requirements and consider manufacturing and validation of test samples. - Develop and execute a binding test and validation schedules for technology development. - Define best validation methods considering associated cost, timing, and resources. This includes decisions on internal validation and testing within the Central Glass Group or outsourcing to external third parties - Participate in budget planning for APD lab - Monitor and manage innovation lab costs to budget - Document test results and propose design improvements throughout the pre-development process - Manage sub-suppliers with product owners in developing new materials and in providing prototypes - Plan, execute, and monitor raw material supplies for the innovation lab - Plan and manufacture samples up to full-size prototypes - Manage crib and sample stock - Assist in design change proposals for existing technologies to be transferred to new plants, lines, or customers - Supply relevant validation information to evolve Lessons Learned and Book of Knowledge documentation - Assist in spec definitions for new materials, technologies, or products - Organize, execute and document select benchmarking activities - Manage, update and improve simulation capabilities in hardware and software - Experience in leading employees and developing teams - Manage, develop and motivate innovation lab employees **Here's what you can bring to the team**: - Successfully completed Master's degree in Engineering or related field required - More than 8 years of experience in the automotive-related experience - Business proficient English is must-have; French and German are advantageous - Ability to learn and follow procedures while working safely in a manufacturing environment - High analytical skills, problem-solving capabilities, and effective DOE planning experience - Experience in managing external parties (suppliers, development partners) - Advanced skill level with Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - Product design experience, including GD&T and DFMEA Ability to multitask with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines - Working knowledge of customer testing and performance specifications - Hands-on approach to problem-solving and analysis **Your contact person**:
