RiverBank is recruiting an ambitious Senior Accountant.
- **Core Responsibilities**_
- Support day-to-day accounting operations
- Maintaining the accounts and records of the bank, its branches and subsidiaries
- Support preparation of monthly management accounts as well as annual financial statements for group and entities and analyzing variances to budget
- Prepare management control reports
- Prepare regulatory reports (FINREP/ Statistical/ad hoc/ branches) in a compliant and robust manner
- Liaise with internal and external auditors
- Preparation of annual budget for the business and entities
- Maintain and develop robust and efficient accounting and reporting processes and related policies
- Consistently analyze financial data and keep abreast of financial status, risks and opportunities
- Work with other internal teams to drive excellence in accounting tools and processes
- Support strategic initiatives and projects as the Bank accelerates growth
- Work with tax advisers and prepare tax declarations and establish VAT returns and any reclaims
- **Skills and Competencies**_
- Accountant with 5 years PQE, preferably in a banking or financial services environment
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to multi-task
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles (Lux-GAAP, IFRS) and financial reporting practices
- Experience and knowledge of regulatory reporting
- University degree/ professional qualification in Accounting, Finance or Economics
