Unix Service Manager

Quento Technologies seeks a highly motivated and experienced **Unix Service Manager**to support the business service owner in various phases including the planning, design and decision-making, implementation, and oversight phases of diverse projects related to the operation and daily activities of the Data Centers & Private Cloud Unit. The consultant is expected to take proactive steps to maintain the existing systems and to continuously monitor and tune them for optimal performance and availability, with a good degree of autonomy.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide expert technical assistance on Linux Hosting Services and related products or services (such as AI, networking and Kubernetes) as required: technical guidance, troubleshooting, performance optimization, governance, monitoring;
- Manage diverse projects related to the day-to-day operations;
- Participate in the formulation, planning and definition of project requirements, liaise with stakeholders and internal customers, participate in requirements gathering and communicate results;
- Develop a deep understanding of internal business processes, oversee their continuous improvement and manage service reliability;
- Ensure quality of the external managed service project documentation, meeting minutes and other relevant documents and deliverables;
- Participate in and coordinate project meetings and related activities;
- Supervise services delivered within the external managed service portfolio;
- Ensure that the services delivered by contractors are compliant with the organization and 3rd parties process/guidelines;
- Evaluate and implement security standards;
- Defining the strategy and future direction of the Linux Hosting Service as IT supporting service to other IT services and final Information Systems, including identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement, and developing business cases for new initiatives and investments.

**Requirements**:

- Mater's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or any related field;
- At least 10 years of experience in the area of Datacentre Infrastructure, OS management, Network, Storage, Virtualization and IT security;
- At least 5 years of experience in the delivery and supervision of IT hosting services with proved experience on the roll-out of infrastructures to support the delivery of AI platforms at scale;
- Experience on Kubernetes technology and DevOps paradigm;
- Experience on the supervision of external Managed Services and Data Centre Capacity Management;
- Holding the following certifications, or equivalent is required: Linux Certified Systems Engineer (RedHat related certifications will be considered a plus) **OR** Cisco Certificate Network Associate;
- Excellent knowledge of the English language and good knowledge of French language.
