We are currently looking for a “**PostgreSQL Database Administrator**” to strengthen the Cronos Europa team. **Responsabilities**: You'd be given the opportunity to join a great European institution and be part of the Databases Operations team (PGSQL 11->16, AWS RDS PGSQL, Oracle 19c and MSSQL 2016 ->2022). - Administer, monitor, and maintain PostgreSQL databases, ensuring high availability and optimal performance. - Automate database administration tasks using Ansible, including deployments, updates, and configuration management. - Perform lifecycle management for PostgreSQL and Red Hat environments, including in-place updates and upgrades. - Manage database security, grants, permissions, and user roles. - Handle backup and restoration processes using PostgreSQL Barman. - Monitor and respond to alerts using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana & Pulse. - Use administration tools such as pgAdmin and OmniDB for database management. - Collaborate with Architecture and Development teams to support migrations from Oracle to PostgreSQL on-premises or cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS RDS PostgreSQL). - Create, maintain, and update clear, detailed, and organized documentation for processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides. - Adhere to ITIL processes, including incident, problem, and change management, using a ticketing system (ServiceNow). - Participate in on-call rotation and ensure timely resolution of incidents. **Technical skills**: - Proficiency with PostgreSQL tools and features, including replication, performance tuning, and backup strategies. - Strong expertise in Ansible for automation. - Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, pgAdmin, and OmniDB. - Knowledge of PostgreSQL Barman for backups. - Understanding of Red Hat Linux lifecycle management. - Nice to have skills: - **Experience with Oracle and MSSQL databases. - **Knowledge of cloud-based database solutions, particularly AWS RDS PostgreSQL. - **Experience with database migrations from Oracle to PostgreSQL. **Profile**: - 3-5 years of experience with PostgreSQL database administration - Proven ability to create and maintain clear, concise, and accurate documentation. - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. - Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. - Ability to work in rotation shifts (7:00-16:00 or 10:00-19:00) - B2 level minimum in French & English - Team spirit and will to share knowledge. **Why Cronos Group?** **We’ll propose you**: - An attractive salary package - A good work-life balance environment - The assurance of working in cutting-edge technologies in an entrepreneurial spirit. - The opportunity to develop your skills thanks to tailor-made training courses according to your needs - A good job in a friendly place If you wish to integrate a dynamic structure on a human scale while working with the latest technologies, don't wait anymore and join Cronos
