**About BTG Pactual**

**The Role**

We are looking for an experienced and autonomous Legal Counsel to join BTG Pactual Europe S.A., our Luxembourg bank in Europe, on a full-time and permanent basis. You will play a central role in supporting the bank’s operations, advising on regulatory, transactional, and banking matters while coordinating with business and supporting teams, local and global, and local regulators.

**Key Responsibilities**
- In coordination with the Legal Europe Team and Compliance, when applicable, advise business, back and middle office teams on Luxembourg and EU banking, capital markets, funds, and financial services regulation.
- Provide active legal support on credit transactions, including restructuring and insolvency matters related to those, leading the legal support and advice on behalf of the Legal Team in Europe.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documentation related to such credit transactions, but also to banking products and derivatives, in general.
- Support cross-border transactions and multi-jurisdictional projects.
- Assist with the development and compliance of private banking products and services.
- Monitor regulatory changes and support implementation across the business.
- Coordinate with internal teams (compliance, risk, business development) and external counsel.
- Liaise with regulators (CSSF, ECB, etc.) on behalf of the bank.
- Drafting and review of services providers agreements.
- Drafting and review of NDA for different business areas.
- Draft and review of meeting minutes of several internal corporate bodies' instances, including committees and board of directors.

**Profile**
- Law degree (Master of Laws or equivalent). Admission in Luxembourg.
- Admission to another EU jurisdiction or abroad, a plus.
- Range between 3 - 5 years of post-qualification experience.
- Strong background in banking, capital markets and funds regulation, insolvency, restructuring, and financing transactions.
- Knowledge of private banking products and services.
- Experience in an international law firm or cross-jurisdictional environment is a plus.
- Autonomous and capable of managing files independently, but with duly coordination with the Europe Legal Team and Legal Head.
- Strong team player with the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment, and very fast-paced business demands.

**Languages**
- Fluency in Portuguese and English required.
- Proficiency in French, Spanish, or German is a plus.
