Company Overview

Blackstone Europe Fund Management S.à r.l. (“BEFM”) is a Luxembourg private limited liability company authorized by the
_Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier_ (“CSSF”) as an alternative investment fund manager (“AIFM”) in accordance with the Law of 12 July 2013 on alternative investment fund managers, as amended.

BEFM manages alternative investment funds (AIFs) in a variety of asset classes including private equity, real estate, credit and hedge fund solutions. BEFM also is also authorized to manage separately managed accounts (“SMAs”) with a combination of these asset classes.

**Job Description**:
Seeking an Analyst to join BEFM Risk Management team (“BEFM Risk”). The main responsibility will be to monitor, assess, and manage risks that may have a negative impact on BEFM-managed AIFs.

**Responsibilities**:
In this role, the Analyst will play a key role and will be fully integrated into the BEFM Risk team, especially by ensuring the effective and thorough identification, monitoring, and assessment of risks. He/she will significantly contribute to the thorough and precise preparation of reports and materials to governing bodies. The Analyst is expected to conduct best-in-class risk analysis on all activities encompassing risk management and investment fund compliance matters.
- Investment risk management: performing thorough risk analyses on investment opportunities prior to transaction closure. The Analyst will identify and evaluate relevant risk factors, assess their likelihood and impact, review compliance with investment restrictions and guidelines, and promptly escalate any potential red flags to the Risk Manager.
- Fund risk management: monitoring and assessing risks associated with BEFM-managed AIFs. This involves preparing materials and reports for relevant stakeholders such as BEFM Management Committee, BEFM Board, Fund Boards, EU/local regulators. The Analyst will also be responsible for identifying and proposing risk mitigation strategies and corrective actions. He/she will ensure the proper escalation of issues to the Conducting Officer Risk and/or the Risk Manager, and subsequently follow up on the implementation of these measures.
- Investment fund compliance: monitoring of compliance with investment restrictions and guidelines. The Analyst will identify any potential breaches, whether active and passive, and promptly escalate them to the Risk Manager. He/she will actively contribute to resolving such breaches by collaborating with internal and/or external investment managers, overseeing corrective actions, and providing support to other teams in assessing the financial impact and potential compensation to investors.
- Regulatory reporting: supporting other teams in ensuring accurate and timely regulatory reporting to local/EU regulators and investors (e.g., AIFMD Annex IV).
- Governance: assisting BEFM Risk in maintaining an effective risk framework. This involves updating and reviewing policies, procedures, and risk profiles in accordance with latest regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team, are highly motivated, with a sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.
- Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Financial engineering, or a related discipline
- +2 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, such as AIFM, or Risk Advisory role. A prior experience in a Big 4 is an asset.
- Good understanding of risk management techniques and methods applicable to alternative investment strategies and illiquid assets
- Strong knowledge of the local/EU regulatory requirements related to AIFs domiciled in Luxembourg and/or Ireland.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint is essential. Knowledge of IT languages like VBA, SQL, and experience with tools like Tableau or PowerBI is a plus.
