**Mission
The Strategic Business Manager is responsible for supervising key strategic projects and ensuring timely implementation and regular update to the director of Investment Administration, identifying and implementing process optimization for key processes and maintaining the departments governmental and administrative activities.

**Accountability
The Strategic Business Manager is accountable for:

- Support the Director Investment Administration on execution of departments strategic goal setting and implementation plan in line with corporate goals
- Identify, initiate, and oversee core strategic operational and regulatory projects within the department and provide regular status update
- Maintain and monitor correctness of organizational chart, and create departmental training plan for staff in collaboration with Human Resources
- Serve as liaison between staff, departmental management, other departments and the Director Investment administration
- Facilitate interaction between the teams and departments with regards to the prioritization of requests
- Follow up on decisions/ Clarification of issues, actions & decisions
- Communication and organization of people manager meetings, townhalls, departmental or cross departmental working groups
- Lead process reviews and process optimization initiatives
- Actively support and drive change management initiatives
- Be actively involved in staff initiatives
- Maintain department KPIs and departmental governance
- Preparation of reporting material for committees
- Accountable for various transversal functions related to change management and data retention

**Your profile - Have you got what it takes to become our Strategic Business Manager?
**Required**
- University decree in Business Management, Economics or any other relevant field
- At least 5 years of experience in the financial sector with focus on operations and investment vehicles as well as investment rules relating to the Luxembourg Life Assurance Sector
- Strong analytical skills and process knowledge
- Ability to influence and motivate people
- Self-motivating and goal-oriented team player, who is eager to take on additional responsibility
- Ability to take decisions and define innovative solutions
- Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong cooperation cross-functionally, at all levels
- Excellent communication skills at all corporate levels
- Strong negotiation, organisational and management skills
- Demonstrates initiative-taking, innovative, customer-focused behaviors with a ‘can do’ attitude, and a with a willingness to learn new processes and systems
- Strong ability to work under pressure
- Display personal and corporate integrity with a strong work ethic
- Fluent in English and French

**Additional Assets**
- Knowledge of any additional European language will be an asset
- Previous experience in business management / business development
- Knowledge of operational processes in an insurance company
- Knowledge of regulatory framework pertaining to a Luxembourg insurance company (CAA regulation, IDD, DAC6) and other relevant European regulations (transparency directive, EMIR)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently
- Ability to manage large amounts of data with attention to detail and excellent Excel and Power Point Skills
- Ability to present specific data to Senior Management**We offer you
