**About this vacancy**:
We are looking for a Java Software Engineer to join the Settlement IT team within a leading post-trade infrastructure environment. You will contribute to the evolution and maintenance of critical Java back-end systems used for managing customer transactions, reporting, reconciliations, and interconnections with financial institutions such as the ECB and SWIFT.

You will be involved in the full software development lifecycle—from specifications to design, implementation, testing (unit, functional, business), and production deployment. The mission begins with corrective and enhancement tasks and will progressively shift to more complex projects and system evolution initiatives.

You will work in a DevOps-oriented, containerized infrastructure using modern technologies like Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins). A strong focus is placed on performance, scalability, maintainability, and secure development practices.

**What we expect from you**:

- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Java development using Spring Boot in a DevOps environment (Jboss EAP is a plus).
- Solid understanding of Oracle databases, SQL, and Hibernate.
- Experience with messaging systems (JMS, ActiveMQ) and XML processing.
- Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Comfortable working with Git, Linux scripting, and CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- Experience with unit testing (JUnit) and integration testing practices.
- Exposure to Python is an advantage, particularly for test automation.
- Good understanding of software lifecycle management, from design to deployment.
- Experience working with or around Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with a strong team mindset and ability to adapt to existing systems and standards.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of SWIFT ISO20022 is a plus.
