The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) is a Research and Technology Organization (RTO) active in the fields of materials, environment and IT. **How will you contribute?**:

- Developing symbolic reasoning tools to represent and manage normative conflicts in financial regulatory contexts
- Designing formal models for normative reasoning and formal and computational argumentation
- Contributing to the integration of symbolic methods into a broader hybrid Artificial Intelligence (AI) architecture
- Advancing the SERAFIN project (Symbolic and Explainable Regulatory AI for Finance Innovation), which supports reasoning and explanation in complex financial regulatory environments
- Shaping cutting-edge research at the intersection of symbolic and hybrid AI, computational law, and financial compliance

**Education**
- A PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field is required.
- A background in legal or regulatory domains is highly desirable.

**Experience and skills**
- Preferably at least 3 years of research or industry experience in relevant areas.
- Proven expertise in AI and knowledge representation and reasoning (KRR), demonstrated by a strong publication record.
- Experience in formal and computational argumentation is a significant asset.
- Experience in developing hybrid AI systems that integrate symbolic and sub-symbolic approaches.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in interdisciplinary and multi-partner research environments

**Language skills**
- Fluency in English and French, both oral and written. Other relevant languages are considered to be an asset.
