Laboratory Technician for The Study of Alzheimer's

Within the University, the **Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB) **is a highly interdisciplinary **research** **centre** (IC), integrating experimental biology and computational biology approaches in order to develop the foundation of a future predictive, preventive and personalized medicine.

**Your Role...**:
More specifically the **tasks **include:

- Performance of experiments using zebrafish embryos/larvae, _g.,_ microinjections, behavioral tests, _in vivo_ brightfield and fluorescent microscopy, phenotypic small-molecule compound screens, among others
- Performance of molecular biology experiments, such as cloning and gene expression analysis by qPCR, gene overexpression by Tol2 transposon system
- Performance of protein extraction and Western blots
- Perform supporting tasks for the maintenance and breeding of zebrafish according to guidelines and instructions
- Modern data management and precise project documentation
- Contribute to the computational analysis of the experimental data
- Capacity to work in a collaborative environment to integrate the obtained results
- Maintenance of a clean laboratory setting
- Participation in group meetings and monthly technical meetings
- Follow and comply with safety regulations and legislation

**What we expect from you**:

- A technical, Bachelor or Master’s degree in molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, systems biology, or a related discipline
- Experience in experimental laboratory work and molecular biology techniques (e.g. cloning, PCR) is essential
- Experience with working with animals is preferred (animal laboratory science certificate Function A according to the European Directive 2010/63/EU)
- Strong interest in bioinformatics analyses will be an advantage
- Excellent working knowledge of English is required
- Excellent organization skills, data management and precise project documentation
