**Junior Compliance Officer**

**Location: Luxembourg**

**Business Unit: Shared Services**

Contract: Permanent, Full time (Monday to Friday)

**Hybrid**

**Some of the things you’ll be doing**
- **Review and assess onboarding documentation**submitted for the Local Client Acceptance Committee (CAC), identifying key risks and preparing meeting minutes accordingly.
- **Draft compliance recommendations**for presentation at Local CAC meetings, ensuring alignment with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- **Analyse and assess exit documentation**submitted to the Local Exit Committee, identify associated risks, and draft detailed meeting minutes.
- Prepare and maintain **minutes for the monthly Risk & Compliance Committee meetings**.
- Support the **Periodic Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) review and approval process**, including the review of PEP forms, screening via World-Check, and maintenance of the PEP register.
- Provide **guidance and support to risk owners**in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, as well as addressing control weaknesses.
- Conduct **daily name screening alert reviews**, escalate potential true matches or concerns to senior compliance staff as necessary.
- **Follow up with first-line teams**on key risk indicators (KRIs) and key performance indicators (KPIs), including missing client documentation and overdue client reassessments.
- Assess and review **transactions escalated to Compliance**by the first line of defense, ensuring appropriate risk analysis and documentation.
- Evaluate and investigate **high-risk investor cases escalated by the AML team**, ensuring thorough risk assessment and appropriate escalation if required.

**What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?**
- University degree in **Finance, Economics, Taxation, Law**, or a related field.
- **Proficient in Microsoft Office tools**, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- **Fluent in English**(both written and spoken); proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
- **Strong written and verbal communication skills**, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Excellent **interpersonal skills**and a **keen eye for detail**.
- Proven ability to **contribute positively to a collaborative team environment**.
- Strong **organisational and time management skills**, with the capacity to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- **Initial professional experience in the Luxembourg market**is considered an asset.
