At Segment Finance, the role aims to develop financial planning & analysis to help Segment & Clusters frame monitor and achieve their business objectives. The Financial controller is a real business partner of choice to identify & promote value creation initiatives across all functions.
The Financial controller shall be responsible for consolidation and reporting of Segment’s financial performance related to EBITDA.
Main Missions includes:
- Build-up and regular update of central model for Budget & Forecast covering all aspects dribing EBITDA performance: Windfall, Raw material Basket, Energy impact... This implies strong Finance/ Controlling knowledge of Flate Europe Value chain as well as systems
- Consolidation of segment results (Flash/ACTUALS/ FORECAST/ BUDGET/ STRATEGY) received from the units;
- support on challenging the results / Forecast received from clusters based on sound analysis of the results as well as central framing models
- Provide qualitative managerial analysis / bridges to support management decisions
- Business partnering with the clusters, CMO, EPO, GAPM Teams
- BPM reporting, monthly and quarterly closing;
- Ensure that the deadlines and the quality of reporting are respected by the units of the perimeter;
- Reporting and eliminations of inter segment transitions in BPM for FORECAST/ BUDGET/ STRATEGY including reporting of SMEs in BPM;
- Prepare monthly performance reports;
- Prepare BAR presentation including scorecards for Segment, BDs, units including maintenance of database
Specific Skills & Responsibilities:
- IT requirements: Advanced knowledge of Excel, office tools, BI reporting tools (FAST, BPM cube, ACE BI)
- Fluency in English
- Finance controlling skills
- Analysis and synthesis capabilities
- Ability to challenge & coordinate
- Very rigourous and not afraid manipulating tremendous set of data.
- Ability to work with deadlines pressure (specially during closing / BAR periods)
- Team-oriented & Stakeholders management
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills is a must
- Rigorous, autonomous and well organized.
- Change Management skills
Education & Experiences:
- Master Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics or equivalent with 2-5 years work experience in Controlling/Accounting & Reporting;
- Experience working with BPM reporting tool is highly desirable;
- Experience working in an ArcelorMittal Unit and/or Segment is preferable;
As the perimeter is highly international, this position requests communication with foreign interlocutors. Therefore, language skills and cultural sensitivity are needed in order to guarantee the required level of performance expected for this position.
