**Basic Purpose and Function**
- Working from strategies defined by AR Management, the AR Senior Trade Marketer has the sole responsibility for the timely set-up and execution and localization of marketing activities and campaigns within the assigned geographic region so that they meet the organization's overall mission, vision, and long-term objectives.
- Identifies and implements marketing strategies and programs in collaboration with sales, technical teams and marketing communications
- Define advertising objectives, recommend choice of media, and allocate internal and external resources so that advertising and promotion campaigns are effective, economical, and appropriate for their intended audience
- Oversees and directs market and competitor analysis programs. Strategizes and creates brand image and awareness programs that are distinctive and highlight our unique products.
- Develops compelling communication, customer awareness and education programs (e.g. Trade Shows), which support and sell the organization's capabilities, products and services.
- Aligns regional roll-out of campaigns with local sales resources and stays in close contact to the central marketing team to provide the ideal alignment of markets and the internal organization.
- Ensures all marketing communications are coordinated, support marketing plan objectives and are fully in line with corporate brand identity policies and guide lines.
- Creates marketing reports that track, measure and analyze performance that includes external customer satisfaction via effective customer surveys and analysis of internal customer relationship management data and tools.
- Manages the promotional expense (Co-Op) budget as well as the campaign budget
- Develops lead generation programs which maximize the identification of new products and sales opportunities.
- Leads the annual business planning process and assures on time completion and presentation of the plans. Aligns the local sales and technical organization to allow for proper execution of the approved plan.
- Activities may include: conducting market research, monitoring competitive landscape, launching new products, overseeing advertising campaigns, and monitoring sales performance.
- In charge of Key Accounts and Eastern Europe
- Manages two Junior Trade Marketers

**Position Dimensions (Scope)**
- Reports directly to the EMEA Marketing Director

**Contacts**
- Has daily contact with customers and field sales. Has regular contact with the RSM's and DSM's.

**Other**
- Office based (Luxembourg) but travel (25%) with purpose to visit customers in each region, participate in meetings / conferences or attend trade fairs.
- The position requires organizational skills being able to handle several projects at the same time.

**Skills**
- Must have excellent communication skills to build good relations with customers and internal contacts.
- Must have good Microsoft skills in particular excel with a thorough analytical background.
- Must have good presentation skills.
- Must have good commercial judgement and use common sense.
- Must be able to get results and answers to questions on a timely basis with sometimes limited resources.
- Must be able to perform limited DTP.
- Must have good communication skills and exhibit a positive behavior. Good analysis capabilities, inquisitiveness and sense for responsibility are also required qualities.
- Fluent in French and English, both written and oral. Any other languages are an asset.

**Education/Experience**:

- University degree in Business, Marketing and/or Communications or similar.
- Relevant experience in a B-to-B marketing environment.
- Requires at least 7 years office experience.
- Must learn a good Technical understanding of the Gates product range.
- Must be skilled at using a computer with Microsoft office Adobe Indesign
- Fluent in English & French
- German is a plus
