Internship in Compliance Department

Rakuten Europe Bank is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student intern to join our Compliance Department. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience in the financial services industry and contribute to ensuring the bank's adherence to regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:
As a Compliance Intern, you will assist the Compliance team with a variety of tasks, including:

- Onboarding: Assisting with the Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) processes for new clients, including gathering and verifying client information.
- Account Monitoring: Supporting the ongoing monitoring of customer accounts for suspicious activity.
- Transaction Monitoring: Assisting in the review and analysis of transactions to identify potential regulatory breaches or suspicious patterns.
- Audit Support: Providing support during internal and external audits by gathering documentation and assisting with data analysis.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicating and collaborating with other departments within the bank to address compliance-related inquiries and issues.
- Research: Conducting research on new and existing regulations to ensure compliance.
- Data Entry and Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of compliance activities.
- General Administrative Support: Providing general administrative support to the Compliance team.

Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a Compliance related work is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- IT skills, experience with database analytical tools is plus
- Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are an asset.
