About the Role
We're seeking a motivated Junior Developer to join a dynamic team focused on building and enhancing monitoring tools for complex systems. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for infrastructure observability, automation, and continuous improvement in a collaborative, agile setting.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain monitoring solutions using tools like Grafana, Prometheus, Nagios, and custom scripts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement GitOps workflows, integrate APIs, and support CI/CD pipelines.
Troubleshoot and optimize monitoring systems across Linux-based environments.
Read and understand legacy monitoring scripts, including Perl, and contribute to their modernization.
Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
Technical Skills & Experience
**Must-Have**:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a developer, with hands-on exposure to monitoring engineering.
Familiarity with Python, Bash, and Linux systems.
Understanding of GitOps, CI/CD principles, and working with APIs.
Experience working in agile development environments with a collaborative mindset.
**Nice-to-Have**:
Exposure to Perl or other industry-standard monitoring tools.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code or cloud-native monitoring practices.
