**Senior Manager - General Accounting**

The General Accounting Senior Manager is responsible for overseeing all general accounting activities, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company’s financial records and reporting. This role provides leadership and strategic direction to the accounting team, manages month-end and year-end closing processes, and ensures compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and corporate policies.

**Your role**:
**Strategic & Operational Leadership**
- Supervise all accounting operations, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings in compliance with LUXGAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting to management, shareholders, regulatory bodies (CSSF), and other relevant authorities.
- Partner closely with the CFO to deliver key financial insights, manage the team effectively, and contribute to broader business objectives.
- Oversee the consolidation of group annual accounts.

**Regulatory Compliance & Audit**
- Coordinate and prepare annual audits, including financial statements and annual accounts (AA) under LUXGAAP.
- Ensure the preparation and submission of all mandatory reports and tax obligations, including VAT returns (monthly, quarterly, annual).
- Monitor compliance with applicable laws, Board policies, and Luxembourg GAAP standards.
- Lead and oversee the implementation and monitoring of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) program.

**Financial Control & Data Integrity**
- Maintain high standards of quality and integrity in financial information through robust internal controls.
- Audit departmental accounting data, identify discrepancies, recommend corrective actions, and ensure continuous process improvement.
- Monitor revenue and expenses, coordinate the collection and consolidation of financial data, and confirm financial status.

**Process Improvement & Optimization**
- Identify, propose, and implement process enhancements to increase productivity and efficiency within the accounting function.
- Oversee accounting data production processes, including supplier invoicing, data encoding, document archiving, and record keeping.

**People Management**
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 2-4 accountants and other designated employees within the department.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, workload allocation, performance evaluations, and professional development.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

**Confidentiality & Professional Development**
- Protect sensitive company information and always ensure confidentiality.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting and regulatory developments through continuous learning and networking.

**Your profile**:

- Master’s in management
- Proven experience in a similar senior accounting leadership role, ideally within a regulated environment (minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position).
- Fluent in English and French
- Strong technical expertise in LUXGAAP, VAT, and financial consolidation.
- Experience in managing audits and liaising with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, drive process improvements, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
