**What you’ll do**

The role of the Private Investment Execution Analyst - Client Onboarding Analyst is articulated around two main activities:

- Effective management of day to day responsibilities pertinent to the Initial and Ongoing due diligence activities on Schroders ‘ clients with an emphasis on quality and the awareness of money laundering risk.
- Ensure Schroders’ adherence to the outsourcing regulations (CSSF 18/698) in relation to AML/KYC delegated activities.

Both activities aim to maintain a robust governance framework that supports Schroder Investment Management Europe (SIM EU) global operating model; ensuring adherence to the Group Due Diligence Mandatory Procedures in line with Schroders obligations under applicable laws.

With help of a human-sized team, ensure the following duties and responsibilities:
AML/KYC Due Diligence activities
- Maintain 1st line of defence compliance with AML policy and Schroders Financial crime principle.
- Develop effective controls related to AML in line with regulatory requirements/market practice which requires 4 eyes review and act as a checker in the context of initial and ongoing due diligence.
- Take ownership of complex AML matters or screening alerts and provide support to team members.
- Contribute to Schroders Business Committee by presenting the result of the due diligence performed.
- Identify, manage and mitigate AML related tasks; report and escalate AML risks as needed.
- Ensure that all documents related to customers are properly documented an accessible to internal and external auditors after required quality checks.
- Closely work with Compliance, Internal and external Audit by performing quality check on AML files passed to them.
- Support the Private Investment Execution Manager - Client Onboarding as well as the wider Private Investment Execution Team in performing their duties.
- Ensure all activities are in line with Schroder’s Group Due Diligence Mandatory Procedures.

Oversight activities on TA delegates performing AML/CTF due diligence
- Drive and enhance the various controls in relation to AML/KYC activities outsourced by Schroders Europe to the service providers for private assets
- Establish and maintain governance arrangements with the outsourcing service providers
- Maintain and enhance a scorecard on the AML/KYC activities delegated across the different service providers
- Work and feed the TA Operations and Oversight team on the AML/KYC oversight activities performed
- Participate in all quality management and improvement activities, including participating in key stakeholder committees and meetings
- Act as a point of escalation for AML/KYC related matters and ensure that any escalated issues are resolved quickly and effectively within agreed timescales
- Participate to service call, annual onsite visited and perform a quarterly/annual sample check on AML/KYC files of the different delegates
- Ensure the timely receipt of accurate and complete reporting including KPIs and other metrics
- Attend and contribute to operational, client, risk, audit and regulatory meetings as required, and actively contribute to AML/KYC related working groups
- Ensure regular and accurate AML/KYC reporting on the oversight activities to Schroders Business Committee, the Boards and the Management

Ensure that internal procedures around the above main activities are reviewed annually or earlier if a material change to operational activities occurs

**The knowledge, experience and qualifications that you need**

It would help you if have:

- A proven career in AML/KYC (minimum of 3 years) at a TA with in-depth knowledge of AML/KYC regulatory requirements and market practice, particularly in Luxembourg.
- A good understanding of the TA processes in terms of AML/KYC due diligence and in particular familiar with the 4 eyes checks and quality controls required in the context of delegation of tasks.
- An expertise on the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier regulations with regards to AML/CTF due diligence.
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate at all levels.
- Effective relationship management skills with third party administrators.
- Excellent relationship building skills with internal stakeholders: CSM (Client Service Management), MLRO (Money Laundering Reporting Officer), Legal and Compliance.
- A strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel and Word.
