Our client, an international company, is looking for its new IFRS Compliance Specialist to join their teams
What will I be doing?
The IFRS Compliance Specialist is a member of the Compliance & Reporting Team and is responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with the Group’s management across all functions.
**In your role, you will also be**:
Involved in the drafting and oversight of the annual reports, the half year reports and input for other external Group financial reporting documents.
Engaging in new business transactions includes interpreting accounting guidance, devising optimal structures, and documenting conclusions. This involves researching, strategizing, addressing auditor queries, designing controls, and developing processes for complex transactions while assessing risks.
Analyzing the reporting from the units (and/or investments) on a quarterly basis - understanding the business, obtaining results, evaluating accuracy under IFRS and developing disclosures for various reporting requirements.
Participates in ad hoc projects (assisting the corporate controllership team with technical accounting research, peer comparison disclosures, acquisitions/divestitures,).
Updating various Group Accounting Policies as allocated.
Establishing and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders.
Involved in developing or giving IFRS training to finance teams across the Group.
What kind of skills and background will I need to have?
Ideally a finance background with a master’s in finance or business administration or related disciplines and certifications (ACCA);
At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a audit company;
Strong knowledge of IFRS regulations;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as analytical skills to solve problems;
Driven, Proactive, and rigorous;
Fluent in English.
