Technical Product Owner Sr. Business Analyst, Emea

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience -Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Technical Program Management -Minimum 5 years of experience driving technical strategy and architecture decisions especially for large scale enterprise and / or data projects -Minimum 5 years of experience collaborating with technical and non-technical partners -Minimum 5 years of experience working on large cross org programs with extensive technical deep dive skills -Effective written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to influence others -Experience as an analyst or engineer in the data/statistical/BI space -Experience with data visualization tools such as using QuickSight -Experience in non-technical aspects including business analysis (e.g., SQL) and process optimization

Job summary

Global Engineering Services & Security (GESS) is hiring an experienced, talented, and motivated technical product owner (Sr. Business Analyst) to join us in our EMEA technological hub for Data, Analytics, Technology and Automation based in Barcelona or Luxembourg.

If you have strong mindset in in breaking down problems, creating strong mechanisms, and delivering results this is the role for you. You will be responsible for leading multiple simultaneous products in a highly cross-functional environment, engineering, supply chain, as well as external vendors. They will have driven continuous process improvement, and collaborated effectively with cross-functional teams to solve problems and implement new solutions.

A strong background in software development and/or data analytics is desirable for your success in this role. You must have a proven track record of project completion that is on time and within budget. You must be able to command the intellectual respect of engineers as well as run effective projects on compressed timelines while dealing with ambiguity. You must have had experience using data and business intelligence solutions to tell a compelling story and influence business decisions. This role will require up to 30% travel depending on project life cycles.

Key job responsibilities
- Drive global technological initiatives that impact the operations of GESS organization
- Create programs that enable the measurement of budget, program management, health & security, and sustainability impact
- Build metrics that are used to understand the different components of GESS main processes
- Write documents with top senior leadership visibility that describe program status, results and benefits
- Partner with organizations across Amazon to understand their business and how data enablement impacts them
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs and questions into meaningful technical requirements
- Build data visualization reports and tools for self-service using visualization tools like Quicksight
