VML Luxembourg is one of the leading Amazon consulting agencies in Europe. Offering 360° services for Amazon, we have a diverse range of products and services in various sectors to ensure long-term sales growth, ranging from creating multilingual content and listings to all aspects of advertising, including sales promotion, PPC and programmatic campaigns. We are part of WPP, the world's largest digital media agency, and manage WPP's European Center of Excellence for Amazon (ACE) dedicated to maximising performance, driving sales and building brands on the Amazon platform.
**The opportunity**:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Media Strategist to lead and elevate the planning, execution, and optimization of Amazon Advertising and retail media campaigns for our diverse client portfolio. This role requires a seasoned professional who can blend advanced strategic insight with technical expertise to drive exceptional outcomes.
As a trusted advisor and strategist, you'll serve as a key partner for clients, navigating complex advertising ecosystems and identifying innovative solutions that maximize ROI and drive business growth. Your leadership will ensure exceptional project delivery and position our agency as a pioneer in Amazon and retail media services.
**What you'll be doing**:
**Client & Project Leadership**
- Act as the senior advisor and strategic partner to high-profile clients, building trusted relationships and deeply understanding their business goals.
- Oversee the development and execution of complex, integrated media strategies, ensuring alignment with client objectives and KPIs.
- Lead client presentations, performance reviews, and strategy discussions, delivering actionable insights and forward-thinking recommendations.
- Foster collaboration between internal teams (creative, retail, data) and client stakeholders (e-commerce, marketing, branding).
**Advanced Strategy & Execution**
- Develop and implement sophisticated Amazon Advertising strategies, leveraging all ad formats, including all available Amazon Ads Solutions across the funnel.
- Drive innovative retail media solutions, incorporating cross-channel integration to enhance campaign impact.
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis, including competitor research, category trends, and consumer behaviour insights, to inform data-driven strategies.
**Optimization & Technical Excellence**
- Evaluate campaign performance with a focus on advanced metrics, including incremental ROI, customer lifetime value, and New-to-Brand performance, by leveraging tools like Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC).
- Stay at the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies, embedding them into strategies to maintain competitive advantage.
**Reporting & Thought Leadership**
- Deliver in-depth performance reports, blending advanced analytics and storytelling to highlight key outcomes and future opportunities.
- Serve as a mentor and knowledge resource within the team, driving thought leadership and sharing expertise in Amazon and retail media.
- Lead workshops and training sessions to elevate the team's proficiency in advanced media strategy and optimization.
**What we want from you**:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Using data and metrics to measure impact, determine improvements and identify opportunities for clients' growth and new services.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Managing complex Amazon Ads campaigns with various of targeting options for international marketplaces, any further experience in Retail Media is a plus.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team with multicultural personalities.
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously and still maintain the focus and be able to prioritize among the upcoming tasks.
**What you'll need**:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in business, economics, marketing, mathematics, computer science is preferred.
- Hands-on experience in planning and managing Amazon Sponsored Ads and Programmatic Ads.
