SOGETI is looking for a **Functional tester** to join our company.

As part of the BI & Analytics department composed of smart & dedicated people like yourself who make an impact with both internal and client stakeholders, you will be involved in **IT projects related to data life cycle** management, from our office in Bertrange or directly on client premises.

At SOGETI, consultants can work with a variety of different customers, tools and methodologies; something that would otherwise take many years to gain.

**_ Your challenge/your responsibilities_**
- Ensure test cases are well-documented and easily reproducible.
- Collaborate with the development team and business analysts to understand the functional requirements.
- Develop comprehensive test plans based on the project specifications.
- Create detailed test cases that cover all aspects of the software's functionality.
- Ensure test cases are well-documented and easily reproducible
- Execute test cases to verify that the software functions according to specifications.
- Identify and document any deviations from expected behavior
- Report and prioritize defects in a clear and concise manner
- Work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure that new changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in sprint planning and review meetings.
- Identify opportunities for test automation and collaborate with the automation team to implement automated tests.
- Provide feedback on the software development process to improve overall product quality.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate them into testing processes
- Perform treatment and validation of data and metadata, develop and implement validation checks to improve the quality and comparability of data;
- Be responsible of the dissemination of statistical information (draft, edit statistical texts, handles requests for information on statistical issues, give presentation in meetings);
- Draft report about work progress.

**_Qualification/ Technologies:_**
- Professional experience in the domain of statistics **.** The field of social statistics (i.e. Health, Education, income and living condition, labour force), but also Energy and agriculture is an asset;
- Experience in working with official data;
- Experience with Jira and Confluence;
- Good knowledge of Excel and database management;
- Good knowledge of SAS;
- Capacity to work in autonomy;
- Communicative, rigorous and organised;
- Fluent in English, French or German would be an asset.

**_Education:_**

3+ years university degree in Economics, Statistics or equivalent; and at least 5 years of professional experience; or any equivalent combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
