**Your role & work environment**

ING Luxembourg is looking for a Head of Real Estate Finance. This person will also act as Senior Relationship Manager, being part of the origination team with the WB Real Estate Finance sector.

As local head of REF, you will manage the local team and make sure the team objectives are met. You will align the team actions with the local stakeholders, a.o. the management team of ING WB Luxembourg

As Senior Relationship Manager, you develop and maintain the relationship with the largest players in the Luxembourg real estate sector. You will manage a mixed portfolio of both developers, local and international investors. You will be the clients’ primary contact person within ING. You have strategic discussions with your client’s Treasurer, CFO and arrange senior management meetings on CEO or board level.

The team you will join is the WB Real Estate Sector. The facilities and products provided to our clients contain a variety in structure and complexity, which requires an adequate professional level of coverage. The Relationship manager works closely with the portfolio manager of the team but also with the various product of ING to service our clients with the virtual client team

**Your key responsibilities**

Commercial attitude
- You’re willing to invest in a long term relationship with our clients and prospects in order for ING to become their primary bank
- You’re result driven and look for healthy growth of your portfolio revenues
- You spot business opportunities in your conversations with your real estate clients and organize pitches to generate business and reinforce ING’s competitive position

People management
- You demonstrate your management skills by coaching, supporting, and developing your direct reports.
- You have effective networking and relationship building skills in the real estate ecosystem allowing to quickly build trust with senior leaders and clients, to ensure smooth transactions and processes
- You’re the captain of the virtual client team, coordinating activities with product specialists and / or with local relationship managers abroad. You take ownership of the REF Deals and make it happen with a team player attitude.
- You have 1st line of defence responsibilities: You ensure relevant client reporting, holding credit, operational and compliance risks at the highest standards by supporting the completion of KYC processes

Objectives
- You monitor your client profitability and the realization of your portfolio KPIs & team objectives
- You avoid underperforming assets in your portfolio by locking in cross-sell opportunities and making careful considerations when being presented a lending opportunity. You monitor the performance of our clients in their own projects and the related credit risk
- You participate to the wider sector initiatives or improvement projects, and actively contribute to making the Sector coverage a better and more efficient organization.

**We look for**

As a head of REF / Senior Relationship Manager you will need:

- Academic degree / MBA in finance, economics, law or equivalent
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a commercial role, proven track record of origination capabilities and deal making
- Experience in people or stakeholders management
- Experience in Real Estate: Sector network ecosystem, deal origination and structuring is preferred
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) in English; French or Dutch in addition
- You have a good product knowledge especially lending, Corporate finance, equity capital markets, debt capital markets, financial markets.
- Experience with clients at management level
- To give and ask for constructive feedback
- The ability to get things done effectively and efficiently
- To be a team player who loves to gain, deepen and share knowledge
- Eager to extra-miles
