This is an excellent opportunity to join a world leader and support their local activities in Germany, Switzerland, Austria (DACH). Our client is active in over 80 countries, offering a range of off-the-shelf and custom-made products.
As Area Sales Manager, you have the unique opportunity to work with an existing portfolio of customers and develop strong relationships with new partners. In addition, you will have strong internal support and be in close contact with the product team.
For this exclusive opportunity, our client is looking for someone to be based anywhere in Germany, Austria or Switzerland whilst many customers are located in the southern part of Germany.

Responsibilities:
- Lead sales efforts for various categories
- Strong emphasis on structured sales planning and delivery
- Value-based selling
- Developing relationships with existing and new clients to increase portfolio revenues
- Closely collaborate with dealers and partners to improve operations
- Monitor markets, trends and innovations
- Work closely with internal partners (e.g. product team or R&D) to solve customer pain points and offer solutions
- Analyse activity and performance to increase margins
- Up and cross-sell
- Maintaining records on area and customer sales
- Previous experience in a B2B and/or B2C or B2B2C setting
- Preferably a background in the automotive, chemical or energy industry
- Proven experience in managing existing clients and at ease prospecting new partners
- Flexible and dynamic with a can-do attitude
- Willing and able to travel around 60%
- Languages: Near native German, English and other European Languages are considered a strong advantage
