**THE ROLE**

The Local Finance Controller is responsible to deliver statutory reporting and ensure tax compliance for some European entities.
The Local Finance Controller will provide support across the region to the Regional Finance Controller and will take specific responsibility for managing, advising and supporting the European entities in terms of Balance Sheet, P&L and any financial and audit matters/issues.

**OPPORTUNITIES**

**Controlling**
- You will manage the financials of the companies and ensure that all internal controls and financial policies set by the group are applied and adhered to;
- You will work actively with the business controllers; improve the visibility and importance of Finance within the region, ensuring buy-in from all other operational areas;
- You will ensure that internal and external reporting requirements are met;
- You will monitor regional spending against approved budget;
- You will ensure an efficient cooperation with the finance function within the SSC;
- You will have ad hoc projects as required by region or group finance.

**Accounting**
- You will work actively with the business controllers; improve the visibility and importance of Finance within the region, ensuring buy-in from all other operational areas;
- You will ensure that internal and external reporting requirements are met;
- You will monitor regional spending against approved budget;
- You will ensure the correct P&L and BS position of the entities on a monthly basis;
- You will ensure an efficient cooperation with the finance function within the SSC;
- You will have ad hoc projects as required by region or group finance.

**Tax Compliance**
- You will ensure direct and indirect tax compliance within the region;
- You will setup/close/merge entities within the region if required by the company and liaise with lawyers, Treasury and Tax to achieve this

**SKILLS**
- You should be qualified Accountant with minimum 4 years’ experience in Finance/Accounting, preferably in a multinational company in the IT/Software Business environment or in Big 4
- You should have university degree in Finance, Business Administration or equivalent
- You should have European local GAAP and IFRS knowledge
- You should have previous experience with external audits and tax controls
- You should have in depth understanding of Finance and Business Control requirements in an IT/Software Business environment (contracting)
- You should be fluent in English and French is required; any additional language is considered as an asset
- You should have the ability to work autonomously in a multi-cultural environment
- You should have the desire to drive change and ensure improvement, a strong team spirit and a pro-active attitude are imperative, oriented results
- You should manage time to deliver sometimes on short timing
